Plumberparts.co.uk, home of Find Your Plumber. Boys and girls, so here is the beast we have in question. We've got a little funky sink here. We're going to be putting a hot and cold and also a feed to a fridge that's just out of shot, up into the back of this unit here, and we're going to show you how to. These jobs aren't going to be completely relevant to everything you're doing because every job's completely different. But it hopefully is going to give you a bit of an idea about how to do this sort of job neatly and also to make it so once you've gone, especially as a plumber, the homeowner can turn all their stuff off or if you are a homeowner and you're trying to figure out how to do this 'self, the importance of adding valves. That's what we're gonna do, let's get going. So, quick look around this job. Down here we have got this horrible load of pipework here. We've also got the cold coming in here, in a lovely little bit of a pipe there, very nice. What we're gonna do is turn off the water supply, we're gonna get these pipes so they actually fed up into the back of here. And then we've got a dishwasher and a washer machine, either side just like so, but really it doesn't really matter which way they are around because they have the same complete facilities when it comes to feeding. So number one on my particular job sheet is to find a piece of paper and actually sketch out on here what I'm going to do. It's almost like I'm going to have a pipe going up there to there, there to there, and there to there. Just draw it out. And then what you're going to be able to do is know exactly what fittings you need. Because the work top isn't in here yet, the customer temporarily wants us just to put a tap on here like so. So for demonstration purposes, it's gonna give you a pretty good idea about how to pipe the tap up, as well. I actually love doing this sort of job, because it's designing from scratch. "A thing of beauty is a joy forever". So, I'm just going to have a little scribble down now, and see exactly what we want. We are just under here like that, and as you can see, we've got our waste coming in, we've got the cold water out to the fridge, cold water main to the system, the hot and the cold water main in. And what I usually do is actually we'll go up here, and as you can see, I just drill these holes here. I've just marked up these holes where I want to drill them. So what I'm going to do now, right away, is guess what, drill those holes first. Right, so there we go. We've got our holes drilled in, and as you can see from down here, we've got our cold water main coming in, we've got our hot water coming in, our cold water off to the system, and then also the cold water that goes to the fridge, as well. So, what I'm going to do is I know that my hot is basically going to come up into this corner and just sit out of the way. What I'm going to do is add a little bit of pipe length to that so when they put the actual worktop on when this job's finished, we've got enough slack to take that up and they just have to remove the tap and then put it back on again. And we'll do the same with the cold, as well, in a minute. So, what we're going to do, is because this is gonna be where our hot comes up. Let's get my spirit level, and then we're just gonna draw a line up there and do the same here with the cold. Depending on how good my hole drilling is, this should be roughly the same sort of distance. And that along there and then we're just going to pop clip, clip, clip, clip there. Right, and because I know roughly where my hot is, what we're going to do, is I know that I can measure up from just under here. So, just go on here, add 18 mil or whatever. I know I'm going to be pretty safe. I'm going to bring this up right high, actually instead I'm just gonna run my, I'm just gonna put basically a bend on here, like so,and then over to where our hot is. Really pleased actually that we've got this job to film. It's really, really handy, because you can't get a really good idea, a really good view of everything that's going in. So, that's going to give us loads of slack there on that hot.
